Invecchiamento in Barrique Vino da invecchiamento Consigliato abbinamento al cibo
Barrique Perfect to be aged Pair with food

Grapes: Sangiovese, Merlot, Cabernet Franc

A rich wine, typically Umbrian but also with an international vocation thanks to the wise ability of working in the cellar.
A wine that is surprising for the continuous evolution towards its own precise character: wisely traditional and intensely international.

  • Breeding system: spurred cordon and Gouyot.
  • Harvest: mid-October.
  • Vinification: alcoholic fermentation in stainless steel, maceration on the skins for about 20 days; malolactic fermentation in stainless steel.
  • Aging: the Sangiovese rests in stainless steel for 15 months, while Merlot and Cabernet Franc are caressed by the wood of French oak barrique for 15 months. A further six months in bottle finally completes it.
  • Alcohol content: 14.5%
  • Serving temperature: 14-16 ° C
  • Organoleptic Characteristics: Intense ruby color with elegant purple hints. The nose immediately reveals scents of slightly withered red flowers combined with pleasant notes of blackberry, plum, black cherry and red currant. Beautiful spicy olfactory with fascinating black pepper notes and red raspberries and wild blackberry nuances. Immediate perception of cleanliness on the palate where, an elegant and balanced softness with precise references to not overripe plums and blackberries, gradually leaves space to the typical warm notes of wood.
  • Food matching: perfect with pasta with meat sauce or baked Bolognese lasagna. Not to be missed with roasted beef cheek.
